Pastor said relatives working obeah on me

January 21, 2026

Dear Pastor,

Happy New Year to you. Do you think that everything a pastor testifies over someone's life during a fasting service is literally true?

I attended a church fasting. I am a young person. I am the first one in my family to achieve certain things, such as getting an education. Most of my family members have not done well in school, so I have to thank the Lord for His many blessings. When I attended this fasting, the pastor told me that members of my family are working witchcraft against me. He told me that one of my family members took my clothes from I was young to do evil deeds with them. I believe that he is speaking the truth because I knew deep down that they do not like me.

I don't see the reason why people need to access and spend their hard-earned money to pay obeah men to tie down others. I think that is pure madness. They need to evaluate themselves and realise that God is the real obeah man. Based on what the pastor said, people are trying to drive me crazy and I believe he was speaking the truth because of what I have been experiencing in my life. I feel like I am under demonic oppression. Had it not been for the grace of God, I probably would have been dead already, or perhaps because my grandma constantly prays for me.

Dear A.F.,

Your letter makes me feel very sad. We are supposed to be living in an enlightened society.

But your letter reminds me that there are those who claim to be spiritual leaders who still engage in fooling people. They are deceivers and liars. This so-called pastor told you during a fasting service that your family members do not like you and they have put a curse on you. He said they are trying to blight your future. You are foolish enough to believe what this wicked man told you. What he has done is to sow discord in your family. So you are always going to be seeing certain members in your family as persons who do not like you and are trying their best to destroy you. How sad.

You say that you believe this man was speaking the truth. I can tell you that he was not. When you pray, you should ask God to deal with this man. The Holy Spirit can torment this man so that he can stop lying and be of help. Surely this man has not been called of God. He is a liar and he should stop sowing discord among God's people. I will be praying for you. I am afraid that I cannot encourage you to attend these so-called fasting services.
