Former West Central St. James dies
Patrick Rosegreen, former West Central St. James Member of Parliament, died on Monday after a long period of illness.
Rosegreen sat in the House of Representatives for two terms between 1989 and 1997. He also served as councillor in the St James Parish Council representing the Spring Gardens division between 1986 and 1989.
Dr. Phillips said Patrick was a loyal Comrade who was committed to service above self and was a good representative of his people in Parliament.
"He was a MP who represented the people of West Central St James with enthusiasm and integrity, and always spoke up strongly on issues affecting the poor," People's National Party President Dr. Peter Phillips said.
"He was a man with a vibrant personality who would go beyond the call for duty in service to his family, his country and his party."

Women and young girls urged to ownership their bodies
The St. Patrick's Foundation is set to embark on a campaign aimed at educating, informing and improving awareness around women's sexual and reproductive health.
Dubbed the 'My Body, My Responsibility' campaign, it also seeks to encourage young girls and women to take control of their bodies, making good choices and empowering them to make better decisions.
It will impact the communities of Seaview Gardens, Riverton City, Olympic Gardens and Watehouse, as well as other surrounding areas in Kingston 11.
The My Body, My Responsibility' campaign is one of five projects that received a US$20,000 grant from the US Embassy, with a focus on improving the lives of Jamaican women and girls, centred around the theme 'Innovative Women: Promoting Resilience and Development'.
"We want women and young girls to take responsibility and ownership for their bodies," said Sandrina Davis, general manager, St. Patrick's Foundation.

Portland cops on hunt for most wanted
The Portland police have released the names of the parish's five most wanted. They are: Elroy Griffiths, Everton White, otherwise called Barbie, Tommo Haines, who also answeres to the name Tommy, Marlon Bryce and Peter Swaby.
Berresford Williams, Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Portland, said Griffiths is been sought for the murder of woman at Olivere Housing Scheme in Buff Bay.
He said White, of Cornwall Barracks, is wanted for a murder that was committed in 2015.
"Those two are the two most wanted in Portland, currently," he said.
Haines, of White River, is wanted for shooting with intent; Bryce from Plymouth Hill, is wanted for burglary and larceny, and Swaby, who is from Port Antonio, is wanted for robbery with aggravation.

Police seek witness to case before court
Detectives assigned to the St. Catherine North Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are seeking the public's assistance in locating Jordon Sinclair.
The police said that, Sinclair also known as Baresha Gordon, is a witness to a case currently before the Spanish Town Circuit Court.
Sinclair's last known address is Arnett Gardens, Kingston 12. She is scheduled to appear before the court next Tuesday.
