Dancehall artiste Megga Bling says he has chosen a peculiar way to enlighten youth about the negative connotations to 'donmanship' by singing about deceased and incarcerated dons in his latest tune.

Dons of all Dons, according to Megga Bling, given name Tyrone Gray, should serve as a lesson to the youth to stay clear of trying to run communities.

"The idea of the song came about when me see a lot of juveniles a tek up the don ting, and it nuh really a work for them. Me sit down one day a talk to some youth and a mek dem know a dem don ya mi born come hear 'bout, and nuh don nuh really survive," he said.

He also warned that donmanship is just for a time, and wanted the youth to look away.

"The youths dem we see a tek up the thing nowadays, it different; dem nuh respect elders, dem nuh really respect nobody at all. They get wiped out quick and fast," Megga Bling said. He said his song points to youth who are dying before they reach their 20s.

"If yuh listen most of the lines, it a tell the youths dem fi 'low the gun. It will cause closed casket. It nah glorify dons; it a show the youth dem say it nuh really work out," said the artiste.

Megga Bling said that his journey in music had hit some setbacks, but he is energised and ready to put in the work to take his career to heights. Megga Bling has songs such as Dark Pass and All these Tears in his growing catalogue.

"To be honest, there is a great deal of growth since those songs to where I am now. Going in the street with and being around Turbulence in the studio, I watch him record and learning the craft. I always sit down and like [to] watch a lot of video with Bounty Killer, Sizzla and Capleton, who are veterans and try to adopt my own little principle," Megga Bling said.
